The story of Savanah
I am twenty seven years old. I am a mom to two rambunctious and amazing boys and a fur baby named Cyrus. I have an amazing husband who I have spent over 10 years with. We met in high school and have been together ever since. We bought our house in spring of 2019, married in summer of 2019, rescued our dog Cyrus in fall of 2019, and then brought our first son into this world in May of 2021 and our second in July of 2024.
My son has taught me strength and has been a huge part of my journey in life so far. I know, I know, you are thinking every mother says that about their child. Our story is a little different. Before Baker I was told the likely hood of having children was slim. But we were blessed with our sweet boy in the fall of 2020. In winter of 2021 at our 20 week anatomy scan we found out that Baker had a congenital heart defect known as Dextro-Transposition of the Great Arteries. He would require open heart surgery within the first week of life.
We went in on a Wednesday night to be induced to meet our son the next day on May 20th. On May 25th he had the open heart surgery to repair his heart. After a fifteen day stay in the PCICU at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital we finally brought him home.
The time at home with him on maternity leave made me realize I needed to be there with him through all of his important milestones. I decided to jump back in to photography and show him that he should follow his dreams the same way his mother does.
Photography has always been my passion. To capture moments and memories and provide them to people to keep forever is what I love to do. I cannot wait to work with you and provide you with a keepsake you will love to look back on.
